Infinity – a concept that eludes our imagination and yet is omnipresent.the group exhibition “Fragments of Infinity” brings together 18 international artists who explore the many facets of infinity in their works:
The limits of perception, the relativity of time and space as well as the fragmentary as part of a larger whole.
In an impressive variety of artistic forms of expression – from painting, murals, photography and installation to video, print and object art – visual dialogues between figuration, geometry and abstraction are created.
Opening up different perspectives on the infinite: While some works explore the concept through mathematical structures and repetitive patterns, others approach the theme through poetic, narrative or physical fragments. The exhibition plays with the viewer’s perception: some works seem to expand into the immeasurable, others bear witness to the fragility of individual elements that only hint at a larger whole when they interact. Thus the monumental meets the ephemeral, chaos meets order, the finite meets the infinite.
At the same time, Fragments of Infinity reflects the reality in which we live: a world full of infinite possibilities, in which we are constantly exposed to new themes, information and stimuli – especially in times of artificial intelligence, which is fundamentally changing our perception of knowledge, creativity and reality.
Reality and virtuality are blurring, algorithms are influencing our perception.
The artworks on display in the exhibition negotiate this incessant expansion of knowledge and visual worlds, asking questions about orientation, individuality and what remains fragmentary in the digital noise.
The exhibition invites us to approach the incomprehensible – not to solve it, but to linger in its infinite possibilities.
